The UW-Milwaukee Panthers have scored 26 runs in their first two games against Auburn and Central Florida in their first two games and need just one more victory tonight or Monday to reach the Super Regional for the first time in program history.
After defeating Auburn 13-8 and UCF 13-6, the Panthers await the winner of the Auburn-UCF matchup this afternoon. If the Panthers lose Sunday May 31, there will be a winner-take-all game Monday, June 1.
After scoring 10 runs in the first four innings shocking upset of No. 4 Auburn the Panthers scored nine runs in the first three innings to immediately stun UCF. The Panthers have outscored their opponents 19-4 in the first four innings of their two victories and have won nine straight games.
The Panthers had nine hits and nine walks in their win over UCF and are the first No. 4 seed in tournament history to score at least 13 runs in their first two games of the tournament. They are the eighth No. 4 seed to win its first two games in a regional.
