These 22 Central Wisconsin track stars aim for gold at WIAA state meet

The WIAA state track meet is where the fastest, most equipped athletes on the track around the state meet up to find out who is the best of their class.

It’s just about time to find out which local athletes will make their mark on the state’s stage, firing off on Friday, June 5 through Saturday June 6 at the Veterans Memorial Stadium Complex in La Crosse.

Here is a look at 22 local Central Wisconsin track stars that have the best shot at walking away with gold. 

Addysen Wolf, Loyal: Wolf will be representing Loyal in Division 3’s 200-meter race, she took first place in the 200-meter race at the D3 Sectional – Bangor on Friday, May 29. 

Gracie Hasenohrl, Auburndale: Hasenohrl will be representing Auburndale at the state meet, she snatched first place in the pole vault at the D3 Sectional – Bangor on Friday, May 29. 

Molly Johnson, Adams-Friendship: Johnson will be representing the Green Devils at the state meet, she notched first place in the 200-meter and 400-meter race at the D2 Sectional – Chilton on Friday, May 29. 

Alexis Wierzba, Amherst: Wierzba will be representing Amherst at the state meet, she took first place in the discus throw at the D3 Sectional – Marathon on Friday, May 29. 

Daelyn Rieck, Colby: Rieck will be representing Colby at the state meet, she snatched first in the shot put event at the D2 Sectional – Rice Lake on Friday, May 29. 

Rivalee Stokes, Medford:  Representing Medford, Stokes finished in first place in the discus event at the D2 Sectional – Rice Lake on Friday, May 29. 

Sophie Planski, D.C. Everest: Planski will be representing D.C. Everest in multiple events at the state meet, she took first place in the 100-meter, 200-meter race at the D1 Sectional – D.C. Everest on Friday, May 29. 

Mackenzie Keip, Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln: Keip will be representing the Red Raiders at the state meet, she snatched first place in the 400-meter race at the D1 Sectional – D.C. Everest on Friday, May 29. 

Emily Jahns, Wausau West: Jahns will be representing Wausau West in the shot put and discus throws at the state meet, she took first place in the discus throw at the D1 Sectional – D.C. Everest on Friday, May 29. 

McKea Taylor, Wausau East: Taylor will be representing Wausau East at the state meet, she finished in first place in the pole vault event at the D1 Sectional – D.C. Everest on Friday, May 29. 

Ellyana Dahl, Stevens Point:  Representing SPASH, Dahl took first place in the triple jump event at the D1 Sectional – D.C. Everest on Friday, May 29. 

Zander Zawislan, Stratford: Zawislan will be representing Stratford in various events at the state meet, he took first place in the 100-meter and 200-meter and 400-meter races at the D3 Sectional – Marathon on Friday, May 29. 

Chris Marcell, Marathon: Marcell will look to defend his shot put and discus crowns at the 2026 state meet,  he snatched first place in the shot put and discus event at the D3 Sectional – Marathon on Friday, May 29. 

Carter Cihlar, Abbotsford: Cihlar will be representing Abbotsford at the state meet, he finished first in the pole vault event at the D3 Sectional – Marathon on Friday, May 29. 

Parker Schmitt, Wausau East: Schmitt will be representing the Lumberjacks at the state meet, he took first place in the 400-meter race at the D1 Sectional – D.C. Everest on Friday, May 29. 

Cooper Erickson, Stevens Point: Erickson will be representing SPASH at the WIAA state meet, he snatched first place in the 1,600-meter race at the D1 Sectional – D.C. Everest on Friday, May 29. 

Logan Cisewski, Stevens Point: Cisewski will be representing SPASH at the WIAA state meet, he took first place in the shot put event at the D1 Sectional – D.C. Everest on Friday, May 29. 

Bella Thomas, Assumption: Representing the Royals, Thomas notched a first place finish in the 400-meter race, and second place finshees both the 100 and 200-meter races at the WIAA D3 Sectional- Hilbert.

Cullin Quance, Wausau West: Quance will be representing the Warriors at the state meet, he finished in first place in the long jump event at the D1 Sectional – D.C. Everest on Friday, May 29. 

Xavier Edwards, D.C. Everest: Representing D.C. Everest, Edwards took first place in the triple jump at the D1 Sectional – D.C. Everest on Friday, May 29. 

Breckin Miller, Spencer: Miller will be representing Spencer at the state meet, he snatched first place in the pole vault at the D3 Sectional – Bangor on Friday, May 29. 

Trevor Trowbridge, Auburndale: Representing Auburndale, Trowbridge took first place in the 100m hurdles at the D3 Sectional – Bangor on Friday, May 29.
