The retailer replacing the former Krueger's Tru Value is now open | The Buzz

Theisen’s Home, Farm and Auto is now open in the former Krueger’s Tru Value building at 999 Winneconne Ave. in Neenah.

The soft opening of the Neenah location comes just a few weeks after the opening of its garden center earlier this month. It is the fifth Theisen’s location in the state and the 26th across Wisconsin and Iowa.

“We’ve been in Wisconsin for a number of years and the customer connections in the state’s markets have been outstanding,” said chief marketing officer Steve Jensen. “The loss of Krueger’s here really left a void in some of the categories that they were selling for many decades and we believe this was a place that we could be both a convenient and local offering for the customers who need it as well as outside the valley.”

Theisen’s carries a variety of products including farm animal feed, hardware, auto parts, sporting goods, hunting materials, camping gear, gardening materials, apparel and footwear.

The store will employ over 50 members of staff and will offer online, pick-up and delivery services.

“The former Krueger’s had been here for many years and we believe this will be a similar shopping experience,” Jensen said. “We did keep some of the nostalgia of the previous store as a reminder of what was here before us.”

Theisen’s will host a grand opening event from June 12 through 14.

“We’ll have everything from food trucks in the parking lot to great deals on products to giveaways,” Jensen said. “Sales reps from some of our vendors will also be there speaking about their products.”

The store is open now, customers can shop from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

“We’re proud to open our doors in Neenah and begin serving customers throughout the community,” said president and CEO of Theisen’s, Tony Theisen, in a news release. “Our team has worked hard to prepare this store, and we’re excited for customers to come in, meet our associates, and experience what Theisen’s is all about.”
