Teen stabbed near Mitchell Park Domes identified, cousin a suspect, Medical Examiner says

Jaquveon Wright, 18, was identified as the Milwaukee teenager stabbed and killed during a fight with his cousin about two blocks away from the Mitchell Park Domes on Sept. 29, according to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The Medical Examiner’s Office released the information in a Sept. 30 demographic report. The Milwaukee Police Department said the stabbing occurred around 2:20 p.m. on the 800 block South 22nd Street.

Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office, police said in the statement. No charges had been filed as of the morning of Sept. 30.

As of Sept. 29, there have been 110 homicides in Milwaukee, according to police data. That’s 9% more than this time last year and 15% down from two years ago.
