CARSON − The Portage County Sheriff’s Office, the Portage County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Wisconsin State Crime Lab are investigating the death of a person July 21.
At 10:57 a.m. July 21, a caller reported a person in distress and suffering from severe trauma injuries. According to a Portage County Sheriff’s Office news release, deputies and emergency medical services responded to the incident in the 1700 block of Portage County M in the town of Carson.
Shortly after deputies and emergency medical services arrived on scene, they determined the person had died. The circumstances surrounding the death are suspicious and there currently are no suspects, according to the news release.
