MADISON – This latest round of official visits produced another playmaker for Wisconsin’s offense.
Steele Harris, a receiver from Great Falls, Montana, announced his commitment to the Badgers on June. 7. He was the 19th player in the 2027 class to declare his intention to play for Luke Fickell.
Harris’ announcement came after he completed an official visit to UW this weekend.
He shared the news with a short post on social media
“Let’s Work. #badgernation”,” he wrote.
Wisconsin’s recruiting has heated up. When you include edge rusher Darrin Graham, who announced his commitment shortly after Harris, the Badgers have received six commitments that included two four-star prospects since May 31.

Since the end of his high school season, Harris announced offers from Utah, Arizona State, California, Utah State, Northwestern, Michigan State and Illinois on X. He announced Wisconsin’s offer Dec. 5.

Harris is considered a three-star recruit by Rivals and 247sports. He hasn’t been rated by ESPN.

According to MaxPreps, Harris caught 42 passes for 781 yards and seven touchdowns last season. He averaged 18.6 yards per catch.
Harris also averaged four carries per game. He finished the season with 460 yards, an average of 11.5 yards per rush and recorded two 100-yard games.
How does Steele Harris fit into the Badgers’ recruiting class?
Harris joins four-star recruit Jai Jones as receivers in the Badgers’ class. Harris is a bigger body who lined up in the slot or wide for his high school team and caught a variety of routes. He also regularly ran the ball out of direct snaps or jet sweeps.
