SHEBOYGAN FALLS – A man was fatally shot in the 600 block of Monroe Street around midnight Sept. 24, Sheboygan Falls Police Department said in a news release.
As of Wednesday afternoon, no suspects had been apprehended.
Police said in the release that responding officers found the man suffering from a fatal injury when they arrived. Despite life-saving measures and immediate medical attention, the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said.
The investigation remained active as of Wednesday afternoon, but police said a preliminary investigation revealed the victim was shot by an unknown person driving a small, dark-colored SUV. Police said the motive “is unclear.”
Authorities said limited details would be released as police work “to maintain the integrity of the ongoing investigation.”
