See historic photos of Wisconsin beaches over the years

Summer is here, and the warmer temperatures the season brings means opportunities to visit any of the state’s many beaches.

Here’s a look at the Journal Sentinel’s photo archives of beach life from 1899 to 1994, which includes photos of various beaches around the state, including Bradford Beach in Milwaukee, Big Foot Beach State Park near Lake Geneva, Quarry Beach located just outside Sheboygan and Nicolet Beach in Peninsula State Park near Fish Creek in Door County, to name a few.
