RIPON – Police were asking residents to avoid part of South Douglas Street Friday afternoon, June 19, as officers responded to an active incident in the 500 block, according to the Ripon Police Department.
The department said officers were investigating and managing the situation. Community members were advised to avoid South Douglas Street between East Fond du Lac Street, also known as State 23, and Jackson Street.
The department described the situation as isolated and said there was no immediate threat to the public.
