Wisconsin native Kager Knueppel, the younger brother of Kon Knueppel, has announced his college decision.
It’s a decision Wisconsin Badgers fans won’t like, but this was the move many expected all along.
Rivals’ Joe Tipton passed along the news that as of Monday, June 29, Kager Knueppel has officially committed to Duke.
Knueppel stands 6-foot-10 and primarily plays small forward. He’s a player Wisconsin had its eyes on, for obvious reasons, but Kager will indeed be following in his older brother’s footsteps.
Remember, Kon played for the Blue Devils during the 2024-25 season before he was selected No. 4 overall by the Charlotte Hornets in the 2025 draft.
Despite Duke offering to Kager two months after Wisconsin did, the Blue Devils were able to secure a commitment from the No. 52-ranked player in the class of 2027.
All things considered, Wisconsin still has a terrific trio of high schoolers coming in as Greg Gard’s class of 2027 has been a home run, and realistically, the Badgers were never truly in the running for Knueppel.
