The Green Bay Packers will avoid playing an international game during the 2026 regular season.
The NFL released the full, nine-game international schedule on Wednesday morning, confirming that the Packers will not be the opponent for the New Orleans Saints in Paris or the Detroit Lions in Munich.
With no international game on the schedule, the Packers will play nine home games at Lambeau Field and eight traditional road games in 2026. The full regular season schedule will arrive Thursday.
Two division rivals for the Packers will play abroad: the Lions in Munich against the New England Patriots, and the Minnesota Vikings in Mexico City against the San Francisco 49ers. Both games will be played in November.
Packers president Ed Policy recently suggested the Lions blocked the Packers as an opponent in Munich. The two teams will play each other at traditional sites in 2026, once at Lambeau Field and once at Ford Field.
With the Saints on the schedule as a road opponent, going to Paris was an option for the Packers. But the Saints will play the Pittsburgh Steelers in France.
The Packers have not played an international game since Week 1 of the 2024 season, when they lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil. Green Bay previously lost to the New York Giants in London in 2022.
