Welcome to the 14th practice day of training camp for the 2025 Green Bay Packers. Matt LaFleur’s team had a closed practice on Monday but will once again reopen the gates on Tuesday for what is scheduled to be the third-to-last open practice of training camp. The Packers have a busy week ahead with a joint practice on Thursday and preseason game on Saturday against the Indianapolis Colts.
So, what will Day 14 bring for the Packers at Ray Nitschke Field?

Matt LaFleur pre-practice press conference
Injury updates
General manager Brian Gutekunst said quarterback Jordan Love is having a minor surgery to repair a ligament injury in his left thumb. The team believes Love could return to practice next week and is confident he’ll be ready for Week 1, but he is expected to miss the final two preseason games. Gutekunst also said Christian Watson is expected to start the season on PUP, but he expects Watson to be campaigning to play after missing the four games.

Christian Watson is on the PUP list. Dontayvion Wicks (calf) and Jayden Reed (foot). And now Romeo Doubs has left practice with an injury on Tuesday. The Packers are getting exceedingly thin at receiver with a joint practice with the Colts coming up on Thursday.

Ty’Ron Hopper was excellent in the preseason opener. On Tuesday, he made a big play in 11-on-11.

Several players return to 11-on-11 work
Left tackle Rasheed Walker, running backs Emanuel Wilson and MarShawn Lloyd and cornerback Kamal Hadden all returned to participating in 11-on-11 periods on Tuesday. Rookie Savion Williams is also participating during team periods for the second straight day.
Edgerrin Cooper picks Malik Willis to start 11-on-11
Welcome to the starting lineup, Malik Willis. Linebacker Edgerrin Cooper picked off the backup quarterback, who is filling in as a starter for Jordan Love, to start team periods.
Packers sign running back
Injuries have hit the running back position hard. In response, the Packers signed Ty Davis-Price, a third-round pick of the San Francisco 49ers from the 2022 draft. He was most recently with the Tennessee Titans.
Love, Abanikanda the new injuries
The two new injuries for the Packers on Tuesday are Jordan Love (thumb) and running back Israel Abaikanda, who is dealing with a hamstring injury.
