The Green Bay Packers and Arizona Cardinals will officially hold a joint practice in Green Bay before the two teams face off in the preseason finale.
The Packers, who released their full training camp schedule on Friday, set the date and time for the joint practice: Wednesday, Aug. 26 at 10:30 a.m.
Coach Matt LaFleur revealed the planned joint practice in March. Now, the event is official.
The joint practice will be held at Ray Nitschke Field in Green Bay. Matt LaFleur’s Packers and Mike LaFleur’s Cardinals will then play the preseason finale at Lambeau Field on Friday, Aug. 28.
Under LaFleur, the Packers have held joint practices every year but 2020. Last year, the Packers had joint practices with the Indianapolis Colts and Seattle Seahawks during training camp. With starters playing fewer and fewer snaps in preseason games, teams like the Packers have preferred to use joint practices to get in competitive 11-on-11 reps against other teams.
