OSHKOSH − Authorities arrested four people, including a teenager, in connection with gun-related crimes following unrelated incidents in Oshkosh July 13.
Police said they took two men in their 40s and a 38-year-old man into custody after separate drug searches, with law enforcement arresting the teenager while responding to a report of an accidental discharge.
Oshkosh police find cocaine, 2 guns during search
According to an Oshkosh Police Department release, authorities found a handgun and an AK-47-style rifle, along with 200 grams of cocaine, while executing a search warrant in the 100 block of Cimarron Court.
Police said the 38-year-old man was on parole for homicide by negligent handling of a dangerous weapon and was arrested for violating his extended supervision rules.
Law enforcement then said they apprehended a 46-year-old man on suspicion of violating his parole after finding two firearms and illegal contraband while conducting a search in the 700 block of Bowen Street.
Another 44-year-old man was taken into custody for bail jumping and obstructing an officer in relation to the search warrant.
This investigation is still ongoing.
Teen arrested after accidental firearm discharge in Oshkosh
In another incident, officers said they responded to a residence on the city’s north side around 6 p.m. following a report of an accidental firearm discharge in the home.
Police said they arrested a teenager on suspicion of various weapons-related charges after finding the firearm.
No injuries were reported, according to authorities.
