One dead in fatal vehicle crash in Shawano County, the county's third fatal crash in June

One juvenile male is dead following a vehicle crash in Shawano County, the county sheriff’s office says.

Dispatchers received a call about a vehicle roll-over at around 6:09 p.m. June 19 on Shawano County D, south of Shawano County J in Town of Seneca — a few miles south of Bowler. Sheriffs believe speed played a factor in the crash, in which a passenger car was traveling northbound on D when it lost control and went into a ditch.

The vehicle had three occupants, including a juvenile male who was found unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene despite life saving efforts.

An adult male, who operated the vehicle, and another juvenile male, both sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a local hospital. All of the vehicle’s occupants were from Seymour.

This is the third fatal crash reported by the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office in less than three weeks. A 69-year-old woman and a 71-year-old man were killed June 6 in a fatal crash, with an 80-year-old man killed in a June 15 crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
