Olympic gold-medalist Jordan Stolz already is training for 2030 Games

Jordan Stolz received the athlete of the year award July 8 from the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame for his stunning speed-skating season when he took two golds and a silver at the Winter Olympic Games in Milan.

What he hasn’t done is take much time off.

Stolz took about a month, March, to recuperate from the World Championships, which were after the Olympics. The worlds were very taxing because Stolz took on the ambitious goal of skating all four days in sprint, middle and long distances.

But by April, he was already eager to get back to training.

His home gym has been greatly improved from what he had in his basement to a sponsor-built outbuilding on his home property in Kewaskum, and that has been his focal point this offseason. Stolz is riding his bike on five-hour trips and, or, training in his new gym.
