New dive bar Your Office coming to former My Office space in downtown Milwaukee

My Office downtown has been closed since 2020, but Your Office is planning to soon open.

The new bar is taking the place of the former My Office space, 763 N. Milwaukee St., bringing a neighborhood bar and restaurant downtown.

Your Office plans to serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails at dive bar prices, according to a news release.

Sandwiches will be a staple of the food menu, along with other plates like burgers and a breakfast brat. Food is available for dine-in and to-go through a walk-up window.

Your Office plans to open in late summer. It will be open 7:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 7:30 a.m. to 2:20 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

It plans to be a community space where regulars are encouraged to bring in their awards or trophies to be displayed in the bar and restaurant.

“Walking into Your Office, you’ll be greeted with a warm interior that feels comfortable yet charming and unpolished,” co-owner Lisa Proeber said in the news release. “Your favorite neighborhood bartender will invite you to play a friendly game of bar dice and guests will enjoy pull tabs, slot machines, and local sports and entertainment on the TV.”

The new owners, which includes Michael Sorge of the Black Sheep, wanted to preserve the downtown dive My Office, which closed in 2020 due to COVID-19 and a building fire.

The 2,600-square-foot My Office space, along with the neighboring space that used to be home to Karl Ratzsch’s restaurant, were both remodeled after the fire.
