Motorcyclist killed in New Berlin crash

A motorcyclist was killed in an accident with a passenger vehicle June 21 at around 1 p.m on the 14700 block of West National Ave.

The identity of the individual is being verified and the details of the crash are still under investigation by the New Berlin Police Department.

The driver of the passenger vehicle didn’t sustain serious injuries.

West National Avenue will be closed between Sunnyslope Ave. and Coffee Rd. during the investigation.

In 2023, 100 motorcyclists were killed in accidents and 1,949 injured in Wisconsin, according to data from the state Department of Transportation.

So far this year, 20 people have died in car crashes, according to Milwaukee’s Traffic Safety Unit data.
