Milwaukee medical examiner identifies 34-year-old man shot, killed on North 27th Street

Darien Ballard, 34, was shot and killed on North 27th Street around 2 a.m. Oct. 14, according to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The shooting took place near the intersection of West Fond du Lac Avenue and North 27th Street, near Fryerz restaurant and Metro by T-Mobile, among other businesses, according to police call records.

Police are seeking an unknown suspect. The Milwaukee Police Department asks anyone with information to contact the department at 414-935-7360 or, if they wish to remain anonymous, to contact Crime Stoppers at 414-224-TIPS or through the P3 Tips app.
