Milwaukee-based Brady Corp. will buy a division of Charlotte-based Honeywell for $1.4 billion.
Brady is buying Honeywell’s productivity solutions and services business, according to an April 20 announcement. The transaction is expected to be completed in the second half of 2026.
The acquisition “will significantly expand our portfolio into leading-edge mobility and scanning solutions, which are trusted by the largest transportation, warehousing and logistics companies in the world,” said Russell Shaller, president and CEO of Brady, in a statement
“The combination of Brady and PSS will create a more comprehensive solutions offering for a broad set of customers, bringing together Brady’s high-performance printing, software, scanning and specialty adhesive materials with PSS’s full suite of mobility, scanning and software,” Shaller said in a statement.
“Our highly complementary portfolios will immediately expand our reach to include PSS’s enterprise customers, while providing all of our customers with a comprehensive solutions offering. In a world where data capture and tracking are increasingly essential to drive efficiency, adding PSS to our portfolio will ensure we are a partner of choice for customers of all sizes throughout a broad set of industries.”
Brady manufactures high performance labels, signs, safety devices and printing systems.
In 2025, Brady’s reported sales were about $1.51 billion. Brady employs roughly 6,400 people worldwide.
According to Brady, PSS is based in Fort Mill, South Carolina, and has roughly 3,000 employees worldwide.
In 2025, PSS reported having a revenue of about $1.1 billion and “is a leading provider of mobile computers, barcode scanners and printing solutions serving the warehouse and logistics market,” according to Honeywell.
Vimal Kapur, chairman and CEO of Honeywell, said in a statement that the transaction was part of a long-term strategy.
“We are nearing completion of our multi-year portfolio transformation, further accelerating value creation as we prepare to separate our Aerospace and Automation businesses into two independent industry leading public companies.”
“The sale also enables us to continue strengthening our financial and operational focus on the company’s core businesses,” Kapur said in a statement. “Going forward, PSS will benefit from Brady’s highly complementary and specialized leadership in industrial identification and safety, creating a broader, more integrated offering for warehouse, logistics and manufacturing customers.”
