On the heels of Trisha Yearwood’s sold-out concert in March, another of country music’s most-decorated female vocalists is coming to the Meyer Theatre for an intimate night of songs.
Martina McBride will perform at 8 p.m. Oct. 1 at the 1,000-seat Green Bay venue. Tickets for “An Evening with Martina McBride” are $116, $150 and $173 and go on sale at 10 a.m. May 8 at ticketstaronline.com, 920-494-3401 and the TicketStar box office at the Resch Center.
It has been four years since local fans of the 14-time Grammy nominee and three-time Country Music Association Female Vocalist of the Year have had a chance to hear her voice soar on such hits as “Independence Day,” “Blessed” and “Wild Angels.”
She was last in Green Bay in 2022 as a support act, along with Ashley McBryde, for Wynonna Judd on The Judds: The Final Tour at the Resch Center.
McBride’s The Joy of Christmas Tour, filled with personal stories and conversations with people in the crowd, became a favorite with audiences when she brought it to the Resch multiple times in the 2010s.
Like Yearwood, McBride is also a noted cook who has published her own cookbooks. She also has her own wine label, Luna & Finn, named after her pets.
No word if her husband, Nashville sound engineer and Blackbird Studio CEO John McBride, will accompany her to the Meyer, as did Yearwood’s husband, Garth Brooks, unbeknownst to the crowd and the rest of Green Bay.
