OSHKOSH – Residents near Oshkosh Arena can expect loud noises and increased police presence Wednesday.
Oshkosh police are slated to undergo a readiness training exercise at the arena starting at 8 a.m. June 17.
A news release said the training exercise is critical in preparing law enforcement for emergency situations.
The exercise is expected to be contained to the arena, but the Oshkosh Police Department said police will be moving around outside the building and in parking lots.
Residents are being advised that pedestrians near Oshkosh Arena Wednesday should be alert and follow police direction during the exercise.
Community members not involved in the training have also been asked to avoid entering Oshkosh Arena.
