Looking to treat Mom on Mother's Day? Wisconsin Rapids-area restaurants have specials

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Have you made plans for Mother’s Day?

If you’re planning to take Mom out for a Mother’s Day meal, you still have some time to make your reservations before the May 11 holiday.

Here are some restaurants hosting specials for Mother’s Day in the Wisconsin Rapids area.

Anchor Bay Bar & Grill will host a special Mother’s Day menu starting at 11 a.m. May 11 at 1259 Anchor Landing Drive in Biron. Appetizers include shrimp cocktail and chicken cordon bleu bites. Entrees include prime rib, crab au gratin, roasted duck leg confit, braised lamb shank, stuffed pork ribeye and lobster tails, all served with salad, vegetable and dinner roll. Desserts include two homemade cheesecakes. Special mimosas are also on the Mother’s Day menu. The regular menu will also be available. Reservations are encouraged at 715-423-0010. Boones Saloon & Eatery will host a Mother’s Day menu May 11 at 8010 State 13 S. in Saratoga. The menu includes prime rib and shrimp, served with choice of potato, side salad and roll, as well as a lasagna served with salad and a piece of garlic bread. Branding Iron Supper Club will host Mimosas with Mom from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. May 11 with live music from The Dean & Terry Band playing from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 9721 State 13 S. in Saratoga. The menu includes a fresh fruit and juice mimosa bar, various meal specials, charcuterie boards, a smoked old fashioned and the full Branding Iron Supper Club menu. The buffet menu includes sesame chicken, hibachi chicken, sweet and sour pork, walnut shrimp, crab rangoon, egg rolls, BBQ beef, fried rice, rice noodles, fried shrimp, a fresh salad bar and more. Lake Arrowhead will host its annual Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 11 at 115 Apache Lane in Rome. The buffet menu includes prime rib and roast turkey carving stations, baked cod, smoked ham, chicken thighs and wild rice, three-meat pasta bake, a build-your-own omelette station, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables, shrimp cocktail, fresh fruit, hash browns, pancakes, sausage links, bacon, chicken tenders, french fries, children’s mac & cheese, garden salad, dinner rolls, desserts and more. Olympic II will offer Mother’s Day weekend specials May 10 and 11 at 2520 Eighth St. S. in Wisconsin Rapids. The breakfast special will be rib eye steak and eggs with potatoes and toast. Dinner specials include rib eye steak and shrimp, jumbo prawn shrimp, prime rib, ham steak, roast chicken and roast turkey, served with soup or salad, potato, vegetable, a bread basket and dessert. The Whitney at Hotel Mead Resorts & Convention Centers will host Mother’s Day Brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 11 at 451 E. Grand Ave. in Wisconsin Rapids. Main dishes include a prime rib carving station, roasted Sicilian chicken, honey glazed ham and cocktail shrimp. Brunch options include a build-your-own omelette and scrambled eggs station, lemon ricotta french toast, quiche and breakfast sausage. Sides include garlic mashed potatoes, potato salad, caramelized brussels sprouts, buttered green beans, baked mac & cheese, roasted corn and rice pilaf. Desserts include chocolate-dipped strawberries, cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit and assorted cakes. Drinks include coffee and juice stations and a limited bar menu.
