Hot, humid weather forecast for Green Bay prompts heat advisory

Expect temperatures in the 90s and sun this week as a heat advisory takes effect in Green Bay.

Beginning 11 a.m. July 13 a heat advisory will take effect in Green Bay as a high temperature of 95 is expected with a peak heat index of 103, according to Rebecca Kruk a meteorologist with the National Weather Service Green Bay. On July 14, the highest temperature is expected to be 97 with a peak heat index of 100. The lows both days will be around 70.

What to know about this week’s weather

According to the National Weather Service Green Bay:

Make sure to wear your sunscreen if you are spending time outdoors as the first half of the week is expected to be clear, sunny and humid.

Kruk said if your plans this week include being outside make a point to stay hydrated and spend time out of the sun to avoid any heat related illness.

“If you start to get too warm be sure to go into the shade or go into a building that has air conditioning,” Kurk said.
