The Green Bay Packers raced out to a 14-3 lead at halftime, stumbled to start the second half and eventually staggered into a 21-21 tie late in the fourth quarter on Sunday at Lambeau Field, but Matt LaFleur’s team made a handful of big plays late, including game-winning moments from Josh Jacobs and Keisean Nixon to secure a 28-21 victory over the visiting Chicago Bears.
Jordan Love threw three touchdown passes, all over 20 yards, including a pair of scores to Christian Watson. Jacobs made three big plays on the go-ahead touchdown drive in the fourth quarter, including the game-winning touchdown run, and Nixon ended the game with a leaping interception of Caleb Williams’ fourth-down throw into the end zone with 22 seconds left.
The Packers have now won four straight games and are in sole possession of first place in the NFC North. The Packers and Bears will meet again in 14 days at Soldier Field, but it is LaFleur’s team entering the final four weeks with the division lead and a legitimate path to the No. 1 seed in the conference.
