Here’s how you can help residents impacted by April 17 Ringle tornado

RINGLE – Several businesses and organizations throughout the central Wisconsin area are collecting donations to assist those impacted by the unconfirmed tornado that hit the Marathon County town of Ringle Friday, April 17.

According to Marathon County officials, about 75 homes were damaged or destroyed in the storm that came through the area about 5 p.m. Friday. No injuries were reported.

“From what (residents here) have told us, their homes are a total loss. And, they’ve got a lot of clean up here and a lot of memories I’m sure they have to work through with that happened,” Marathon County Sheriff Chad Billeb said in a Friday evening press conference. “There are a lot of folks here who need a lot of help.”
