The NFL will release its schedule for the 2025 season May 14, at which point we’ll get the final word on when the Green Bay Packers are playing which games. But we already know a few details about what’s to come.
That includes which teams the Packers will be facing this season, how many home games the Packers will have and what teams they’ll play at home vs on the road. We also know two of the teams that have been ruled out for the Packers’ opener because they’re playing each other.
Here’s a rundown of what we know and don’t know about the Packers schedule:

When will Green Bay Packers’ 2025 schedule be released?
The NFL said it’ll announce the 2025 schedule for all teams, including the Packers, at 7 p.m. CT on May 14.
Who do Green Bay Packers play at home in 2025?
The Packers will have home games against the Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Commanders, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals and Carolina Panthers.
Who do Green Bay Packers play on the road in 2025?
The Packers will have road games against the Vikings, Lions, Bears (Saturday, Dec. 20), Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Denver Broncos and Arizona Cardinals.
How do we know the teams on the Packers schedule already?
We know the date of Green Bay’s game at Chicago. Does it mean they’re also playing on Christmas?
Fox was given the chance to announce a Week 16 doubleheader in advance of the official release and announced the Packers would play at Soldier Field against the Bears on Saturday, Dec. 20.
What’s interesting about that is how last year’s schedule played out, when four teams (Kansas City, Baltimore, Houston and Pittsburgh) played on Saturday in Week 16 as a means of giving the team an extra day before playing on Christmas four days later.
This wouldn’t be quite that quick of a turnaround — five days instead of four — but it sure makes it feel like that would make the Packers a prime candidate for one of the three Christmas tripleheader games planned for this season.
We already know one of those Christmas Day games will feature Kansas City and Denver on ESPN. Because the Eagles and Commanders (both teams on Green Bay’s home schedule) also play on Dec. 20 as part of that Fox doubleheader, it logically tracks that the Packers would host one of those two opponents on Christmas. And because we know the date of the game against the Eagles, the Commanders would likely be that team.
We know the Packers are playing the Eagles on ‘Monday Night Football’ in November
ESPN announced May 13 that one of its dates will include a Nov. 10 game at Lambeau Field between the Packers and Eagles. Along with the Bears game Dec. 20, that means we know the opponent for two dates, with one confirmed primetime date.
We know the Packers won’t be playing Dallas or Philadelphia in Week 1
The Packers have Dallas on the schedule this year, but Green Bay won’t be playing the Cowboys in Week 1; instead, Dallas will travel to face Philadelphia in the season kickoff Sept. 4.
Will the Green Bay Packers play any international games in 2025?
The Packers will not be playing overseas in 2025.
The slate of games played outside the United States came out May 13, and Green Bay wasn’t in the mix. Last year, the Packers opened the season in Brazil against Philadelphia.
There was at least a chance the Packers would travel to Dublin, Ireland, to face Pittsburgh — a road opponent for the Packers in 2025 — but the opponent is NFC North foe Minnesota, instead.
Packers president Mark Murphy previously indicated that he felt it was unlikely Green Bay would be the choice, since he believed the Steelers would “protect” that game against Green Bay and host it at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh.
That would be an especially appetizing ticket if Pittsburgh signs ex-Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers — Rodgers hasn’t yet faced the Packers.
