BASEBALL

Notre Dame 10, Winneconne 5

WINNECONNE – The Tritons scored three runs in the sixth and one in the seventh to pull away after the Wolves had closed to within one run after five innings.

Jacob Reineking had two hits, including a double and a triple, and scored three runs for Notre Dame. Tripp Wroblewski had a double, triple and two RBIs. Kyan Redling had two hits, including a double, and drove in a run.

Dallas Walker and Logan Binder had two hits for Winneconne. Aaron Zimmer drove in two runs.

Colson Kleinschmidt took the loss for Winneconne.

New London 12, Wrightstown 7

WRIGHTSTOWN – The Bulldogs, who led 6-5 after five innings, scored four runs in the sixth inning and two in the seventh to defeat the Tigers.

Chase Carter drove in three runs for New London. Dane Meyer, Garret Clegg and Troy Degeneffe each drove in two runs. Cale Adamovich and Meyer each had three hits.

Rogan Thompson had two hits, including a triple, and drove in three runs for Wrightstown.

Logan Ten Haken pitched the first five innings and got the win for New London. He allowed four hits, three earned runs and struck out six.

Preston Nowak took the loss for Wrightstown.

Oconto Falls 7, Menominee, MI 3

MENOMINEE – The Panthers scored runs in the sixth inning to pull away from the Maroons for the win.

Carter Heroux had two hits, including a double, and drove in three runs for Oconto Falls. Landon Delfosse had two hits and two RBIs.

Trace Brehmer started for Oconto Falls, allowed two runs on three hits over 4⅓ innings and got the win. He struck out five.

Logan Berg pitched the final 2⅔ innings and got the save.

Algoma 1-7, Sevastopol 0-5

ALGOMA – The Wolves had only two hits but managed to score the only run they needed in the seventh inning to defeat the Pioneers in the first game of the doubleheader.

Chase Haberli took the loss for Sevastopol in relief of Andrew Wiesner, who pitched six innings of one-hit ball.

Bo Tanck had two of Sevastopol’s four hits.

In the second game, Algoma had only four hits but Sevastopol issued 13 walks.

The Wolves scored two runs in the last half of the sixth inning to break a 5-5 tie and win the game.

Niagara 10, Wausaukee 2

WAUSAUKEE – The Badgers took control of the game against the Rangers early, scoring six runs in the third inning.

Wyatt Dunkes, Remington Buchanan and JJ Wallace each drove in two runs for Niagara. Reid Schroeder had two hits.

Dwight Hedmark pitched five innings and allowed two runs on six hits while striking out eight to get the win.

Schroeder closed out the game with two scoreless innings for Niagara.

Crivitz 11, Lena 1

CRIVITZ – Jackson Schramm struck out 10 batters over five innings to lead the Wolverines to the win over the Wildcats.

Schramm allowed one run on three hits and two walks in his complete-game effort for Crivitz.

Michael Stahl had two hits and two RBIs for Crivitz. Pierce Polomis and Colton Arpke also drove in two runs.

Blake Behnke had two of the three hits for Lena.

SOFTBALL

Green Bay Preble 12, De Pere 1

GREEN BAY – The Hornets took charge from the start, scoring in all five innings en route to the Fox River Classic Conference win.

Preble scored two in the first, second, third and fourth innings before De Pere answered with one in the fifth. The Hornets closed out the scoring with four runs in the bottom of the fifth.

Maya Darmawan had the hot bat for Preble, going 3-for-4 with three RBIs and three runs scored, while Hannah Von Haden was 3-for-4 with three runs scored.

Adding two hits each for the Hornets were Camille Konkol, Chloe Savage, Tenley Kuehn and Gracie Day. Kuehn and Day also had doubles.

Kuehn earned the win in the circle, pitching five innings and allowing one hit, one earned run and two walks with seven strikeouts.

Emma Baugnet doubled and added an RBI to lead the Redbirds.

Pulaski 16, Green Bay Southwest 1

PULASKI – The Red Raiders fell behind in the top of the first, but answered in a big way to earn the Fox River Classic Conference victory.

Pulaski scored two runs in the first, three in the second, seven in the third and four in the fourth.

Molly Molthen, Madison Bloom and Ella Maroszek all had three hits for the Red Raiders, while Kiera Altman, Kamrie Dorn and Kennedy Nowak added two each. One of Maroszek’s hits was a home run and another was a triple. Molthen picked up her 150th career varsity hit.

Elizabeth Boughton had two hits for the Trojans, while Hannah Dunlap added an RBI.

Notre Dame 12, Bay Port 2

GREEN BAY – The Tritons scored in every inning en route to the Fox River Classic Conference win.

Notre Dame led 4-0 after one, 5-2 after two, 6-2 after three and 11-2 after four.

Emma Ciak, Addyson Simpson and Olivia Waldrop all had three hits, while Kaia Waldrop and Ella Nowak added two each to power the Tritons.

West De Pere 14, Sheboygan North 2

SHEBOYGAN – The Phantoms used an 11-run fourth to break open a tie game en route to the Fox River Classic Conference win.

Both teams scored single runs in the first and the game stayed that way until the top of the fourth.

West De Pere tacked on two more runs in the fifth before the Golden Raiders closed out the scoring with one in the bottom of the fifth.

Ava Rybarczyk and Haley Bergstrom each had a double and RBI for Sheboygan North.

Denmark 10-15, Little Chute 0-0

LITTLE CHUTE – Shaelyn Kraschnewski was 4-for-4 with two doubles and three runs in the opener, and then went 4-for-4 with two doubles, two RBIs and four runs scored in Game 2 as the Vikings earned the North Eastern Conference sweep.

Also leading Denmark were Vanny Umentum, who was 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs, and Hazel Fields, Brynn Delarwelle and Rebekah Dittmer, all with two hits.

Delarwelle earned the win in the circle, pitching five innings and allowing two hits and one walk while striking out four.

Bella Pfrang led the Mustangs with a double.

In the nightcap, Fields and Dittmer had two hits each for the Vikings.

Delarwelle earned the Game 2 win as well, pitching four innings and allowing four hits and one walk with three strikeouts.

Little Chute was led by Abigail Zouski, who was 2-for-2.

Wrightstown 5-5, Luxemburg-Casco 4-13

WRIGHTSTOWN – The Spartans scored multiple runs in three innings as they earned a split in their North Eastern Conference doubleheader.

In the opener, the Tigers rallied from a four-run deficit, scoring the winning run in the bottom of the seventh.

Molly Ruebl was 3-for-4, while Bryn Amundson and Madelyn DeCleene were both 2-for-3 for Wrightstown.

The Spartans grabbed a 1-0 lead after two and stretched it to 4-0 in the top of the third. The Tigers answered with two in the bottom of the third, two in the fourth and one in the seventh.

Gracie Jandrin, Stella Schleis, Claire Schleis and Karsyn Walyczyk all had three hits, while Alayna Deprez had two for Luxemburg-Casco.

The Spartans outhit the Tigers 15-12.

In the nightcap, Luxemburg-Casco scored one in the first, six in the third, two in the fourth and four in the fifth.

Wrightstown scored two in the first, two in the fifth and one in the seventh, but fell short.

The Tigers were led by Charlie Bowker, who was 3-for-3; Layla Beyer, who was 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs; and Molly Ruebl, who was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.

Waupaca 13-13, Oconto Falls 2-7

OCONTO FALLS – Hailey Bechard drove in nine runs in the nightcap to help power the Comets to the doubleheader sweep in North Eastern Conference action. Bechard was 3-for-4 with two doubles and a home run.

In Game 1, A.J. Koran was 3-for-4 with four RBIs and Lily Cichy was 2-for-3 with four RBIs as the Comets pulled away in the fourth and fifth innings.

Waupaca led 2-1 after two, 4-1 after three, and 9-2 after four. The Comets then scored four in the fifth to put a premature end to the game.

Autumn Schmidt was 2-for-3 with two runs scored for Waupaca.

Emalee Beyersdorf earned the win in the circle, pitching five innings and allowing five hits, two runs (one earned) with two walks and three strikeouts.

Amelia Danielczak led the Panthers, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

In Game 2, Waupaca scored one in the first, four in the second, two in the third, three in the fifth and three in the sixth.

Oconto Falls scored two in the first, three in the third, one in the fourth and one in the sixth.

Koran was 2-for-5 with an RBI for the Comets.

The Panthers were led by Danielczak with three hits, including a home run, while Izzy Otto, Katelyn Kurek and Megan Kesler had two hits each.

Southern Door 16-11, Green Bay NEW Lutheran 1-1

BRUSSELS – The Eagles scored in all but one inning on the day en route to the Packerland Conference doubleheader sweep.

In the opener, Southern Door scored one in the first. After the Blazers tied the game in the top of the second, the Eagles answered with six in the second, two in the third and seven in the fourth.

Leading Southern Door were Grace Gutschow, who was 3-for-3 with a double, triple and two RBIs. Madyson Counard was 3-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs. Adding two hits each were Alanah Kaye and Reese Vogel.

Samantha Melville earned the win in the circle, pitching four innings and allowing two hits, one earned run and no walks while striking out 10.

In the nightcap, Southern Door scored four in the first, one in the second, four in the third, one in the fourth and one in the sixth. The Blazers got their run in the second.

Counard and Grace Vogel led the Eagles with two hits apiece. One of Counard’s hits was a home run, while one of Vogel’s was a double

Vogel picked up the win in the circle, pitching five innings and allowing six hits, one unearned run and one walk while striking out eight.

Kewaunee 3-3, Peshtigo 2-9

PESHTIGO – The Storm and Bulldogs split a Packerland Conference twinbill.

In Game 1, Breanna Riha and Vivian Bootz had two hits each as the Storm topped the Bulldogs.

Kewaunee led 2-1 after one before Peshtigo answered with a run in the third. The Storm went ahead for good with a run in the fourth.

Bootz and Ali Repitz added doubles for Kewaunee. Repitz also earned the win, pitching four innings, allowing five hits and two earned runs with five strikeouts.

In Game 2, the Bulldogs scored one in the first, two in the third, two in the fourth and four in the seventh to pull away for the win. Kewaunee scored two in the first and one in the fifth.

Kambriea Last and London Karnopp doubled for the Storm.

Niagara 9, Wausaukee 6

WAUSAUKEE – The Badgers overcame an early four-run deficit to earn the Marinette & Oconto Conference win.

The Rangers led 4-0 after one, but Niagara answered with four in the fourth. Wausaukee went up 6-4 in the bottom half of the inning, but the Badgers retied the game at 6-6 in the fifth.

Niagara took the lead for good with one in the sixth and tacked on two more in the seventh.

Paige Guardiola led the Badgers by going 3-for-4, while Alivia Kleikamp was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI. Also adding two hits for Niagara were Grace Payette and Zowie Loukus.

De Pere’s Noah Zhang took first in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:58.75. Tyler Hancock won the 110 hurdles with a time of :14.82. Noah Vander Heyden won the long jump with a jump of 21-2.5.

Pulaski’s Max Fredrickson won the 400 with a time of :50.52. Parker Marshall won the 1,600 with a time of 4:37.14. Keaton Dauk took first in the 300 hurdles with a time of :38.38. Pulaski turned in a time of 3:24.26 to win the 1,600-meter relay.

Little Chute’s James Thiel took first in the discus with a throw of 179-8. Teammate Elijah Driessen won the pole vault at a height of 12-6.

Bay Port’s Max Stascak won the 100 in :11.13.

Green Bay West’s Isaiah Hester took first in the 200 in :22.30.

Kaukauna’s Hunter Meyers won the shot put with a toss of 52-10.

Appleton North’s time of 8:28.79 was good for first in the 3,200-meter relay.

Kimberly had a first-place finish in the 800-meter relay.

Pulaski’s Olivia Sprangers was a winner in the 100- and 200-meter dashes with times of :12.51 and :24.88, respectively. Pulaski also got a win in the 800-meter relay.

Appleton North picked up wins from Ava Helmbrecht in the 400 with a time of 1:00.43, Sophia Busch in the 800 with a time of 2:21.35, Eva Busch in the 3,200-meters with a time of 10:47.50.

Appleton North also won the 400- and 1,600-meter relays.

Kaukauna’s Madison Koschnik won the high jump with a jump of 5-2.

Ashwaubenon’s Lera Black took first in the pole vault at a height of 13-0. Black also won the triple jump with a jump of 36-7. Jamyana Witte won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of :14.80.

Green Bay West’s Adriana Moyano won the long jump with a leap of 16-11.75.

De Pere won the 3,200-meter relay.

Winneconne captured the title with eight first-place finishes in individual events and two in relay events.

Brody Schaffer took first in the 100-meter dash with a time of :10.98 for Winneconne and the long jump with a jump of 22-3.75. Schaffer also teamed with Karter Hawthorne, Mason Mathe and Koltyn Kachur to win the 800-meter relay with a time of 1:29.84. Kachur, Cailin Yingling, Logan Wolf and Luke Fuller won the 1,600-meter relay with a time of 3:27.57. Hudson Samolinski captured the shot put and discus with a shot put of 58-3 and a discus throw of 165-4, respectively. Colton Tisler won the high jump at a height of 6-4. Trey Zemke won the pole vault at a height of 14-0. Grant Wenzelow won the 800 with a time of 1:57.30. He also won the 1,600 with a time of 4:28.32.

Xavier’s Ben Kappell won the 200 with a time of :23.68.

Notre Dame’s Maximilian Peirce, Quinn Blom, Cadence Baudhuin and Regan McGuan teamed up to win the 400-meter relay with a time of :43.62.

Winneconne got a first-place finish from Ruby Kuehn in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:24.34.

Four second-place and six third-place finishes helped power the Wolves to the team title.

Freedom’s Ashley Hietpas won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of :15.17 and teammate Jessa Jochman took first in the 300 hurdles with a time of :50.00. Brooke Sowinski won the long jump with a jump of 16-4. The Irish quartet of Gabriella Hambel, Marisa Greiner, Mara Janssen and Ella Wagner won the 1,600 with a time of 4:11.55.

Xavier’s Grace Hackl won the 400 with a time of :59.15. Caroline Basehoar won the pole vault at a height of 12-0. Brooke Vande Hey won the triple jump with a jump of 34-3.5.

Brillion’s Elleson Gipp took first in the shot put with a toss of 35-2.

Notre Dame got a first-place finish from Julia Nolle, Ella Wallner, Hannah West and Haley Blevins in the 400 relay with a time of :49.93.

Manitowoc Lutheran powered its way to the win with three first-place finishes in the relays and eight first-place finishes in individual events.

Suring’s Gavin Staszak won the pole vault at a height of 10-0.

NEW Lutheran’s Quincy Wendland won the high jump at a height of 6-0.

St. Mary Catholic’s Brenden Huelsbeck won the 100-meter dash with a time of :11.80.

St. Mary Catholic’s Ellie Davel took first in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of :15.93. She also won the long jump with a jump of 15-8. Marissa Hahn won the discus with a throw of 117-0. The quartet of Autumn Crowe, Davel, Luci Nackers and Moorea Steckling won the 800 relay.

Suring’s Kyler Kempka won the 400 with a time of 1:06.58. Aliya Cox won the 300 hurdles with a time of :48.27

Hilbert’s Hadley Gehl took first in the pole vault at a height of 8-6.

NEW Lutheran’s Kiera Adams-McIntosh took first in the shot put with a toss of 38-5.
