Dr. Mark Blake, 51, of Whitefish Bay, is charged with one count of stalking and three counts of capturing an intimate representation. If convicted on all counts, Blake could face up to 14 years in prison and fines up to $40,000.

Prosecutors say Blake stalked former fiancée for more than two years

According to the criminal complaint:

The woman contacted police on April 6 and reported she believed Blake, her boss at Illume Cosmetic Surgery & Medspa Milwaukee in Glendale, 6002 N. Port Washington Road, had been stalking her for about a year.

The woman told investigators that on March 5, 2025, after leaving work, she received an iPhone notification indicating an Apple AirTag was traveling with her. After searching her vehicle, she found an AirTag that did not belong to her hidden beneath a floor mat on the front passenger side.

The woman told police she believed the AirTag had been placed in her vehicle during the workday and alleged Blake used keys from her work locker to access the vehicle and place the device there without her consent.

She told police she then used Apple’s Find My app to identify information associated with the AirTag and discovered it was linked to a phone number ending in 3336, which matched the last four digits of Blake’s phone number.

Blake initially denied placing the AirTag. However, after the woman confronted him with the phone number information, he apologized and said he was “worried about her life decisions.”

The woman told police she did not initially report the incident because she believed Blake’s behavior would stop.

Woman said relationship became strictly professional before alleged stalking began

The woman told investigators she and Blake had previously been in a relationship and were once engaged. She said the relationship ended and became strictly professional before March 20, 2024.

The woman told police that between late March and early April 2026, Blake made comments that led her to believe he was aware of her whereabouts outside of work. Blake referenced a recent coffee outing she had with a friend and made comments about the visit.

The woman also alleged Blake discussed her whereabouts with co-workers and questioned one co-worker about whether she was romantically involved with another person.

Blake allegedly told the co-worker that the woman’s “car’s been parked there a lot,” referring to the Milwaukee County home of the person the woman had gone out with for coffee.

Because of those comments, the woman became suspicious that Blake was monitoring her movements. She told investigators she reviewed devices connected to her Apple account and discovered an unfamiliar iPhone 8.

The woman said Blake had loaned her an older iPhone while she was on vacation in Bali in 2024. She told police she was not certain whether she had logged into her iCloud account on the device, but said she never gave Blake permission to access her location information or Apple account.

The woman told investigators Blake’s actions caused her emotional distress and made her fear for her safety.

On May 7, 2026, Detective Samuel Krenn examined the AirTag and obtained records from Apple. Investigators learned the AirTag had been purchased as part of a four-pack from the Apple Store at Bayshore Mall in Glendale.

The purchase records showed the AirTag was bought using a credit card ending in 2212. Investigators later determined Blake had a credit card with the same last four digits.

During the investigation, Krenn interviewed another employee who said she had observed behavior from Blake that was not normal and believed there was “some validity” to the woman’s concerns.

The employee described Blake as being “very interested” in the woman’s personal life and said she believed he was upset because the woman was now in a relationship with another man.

Investigators later examined Blake’s cellphone and discovered internet searches on it including “is it possible to find out who placed an airtag” and “is it possible to undetect airtag.”

While reviewing the phone extraction, detectives found five images that appeared to have been taken with a hidden camera inside a locker room. The photos showed a woman changing clothes while apparently unaware she was being photographed.

When investigators showed the images to the woman on May 27, she immediately identified herself as the person depicted in the photographs and recognized personal belongings and her open locker visible in the images.

The woman told detectives she was unaware the photographs had been taken and said she did not consent to being photographed while changing in the employee locker room.

The woman also told investigators that Blake approached her at work on May 19 and said they needed to talk because he had heard a police investigation had begun.

Blake was granted his Wisconsin medical license on May 29, 2008, according to state licensing records. His license remained active as of June 8.

Ilume confirms Blake will no longer provide services at Glendale location

Dr. Christopher J. Hussussian, owner and co-founder of Ilume Cosmetic Surgery & MedSpa, confirmed Blake is no longer providing services for the business and that its staff is cooperating with law enforcement.

“The privacy, safety and trust of our patients and employees is of paramount importance to Ilume. The alleged actions being investigated by law enforcement are utterly reprehensible and completely incompatible with our core values,” Hussussian said in an email to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “We hold our team to the highest ethical standards, and this inexcusable conduct will not be tolerated.”

Hussussian said the business “will continue to respond proactively to protect the safety and privacy of our patients and employees as more information becomes available to us.”

Illume Cosmetic Surgery & MedSpa opened its Glendale location in December 2021. The 10,000-square-foot facility features two operating rooms, clinical suites and a full-service medspa.

During his initial appearance June 8, Blake was ordered to have no contact with the woman and was released on a $7,500 cash bond.

His next court appearance, a preliminary hearing, is scheduled for June 18.
