Giannis Antetokounmpo was in his element as coach of the all-star celebrity game Feb. 13 in Los Angeles, a game his team won, 65-58.
Not only was he victorious, he made sure to get a light jab in on ESPN basketball reporter Shams Charania, the breaking news aficionado who had provided multiple updates before the trade deadline suggesting Antetokounmpo would be on the move to a new team.

In a pregame interview, with Antetokounmpo casually munching on popcorn, the Milwaukee Bucks star had a blunt assessment of Charania.
“He cannot hoop.”
Unlike some of Charania’s reports around Antetokounmpo, the assessment proved correct. Charania finished 0 for 4 from the field with zero points and four turnovers.
It’s the second time Antetokounmpo and his brothers, Thanasis and Alex, have served as coaches for the celebrity game. Giannis’ teammate, Bobby Portis Jr., will compete in the 3-point competition Feb. 14. Antetokounmpo has been ruled out of the Feb. 15 all-star game with injury.
Charania, staying true to his own persona, made sure to check his phone for any timely updates on the court.
