One day after the seismic news that Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo had been traded to the Miami Heat, Antetokounmpo seemed to be in good spirits, sitting courtside with his family at the WNBA game between the Las Vegas Aces and the New York Liberty on Tuesday night, June 23 in Las Vegas.
Social media posts from the game showed Antetokounmpo with his wife, Mariah, and kids, seated courtside near the Aces’ bench.
Antetokounmpo, a two-time NBA MVP, was in MVP company. On the court were three players who had won six of the last seven WNBA MVP awards.
The Aces’ A’ja Wilson won it in 2020, 2022 and 2024. On the Liberty, Breanna Stewart was named MVP in 2018 and 2023, while Jonquel Jones claimed the title in 2021.
Wilson is also dating Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo, Antetokounmpo’s new teammate. Some were quick to point this connection out on social media.
Adebayo was at the game, too, with a social media video showing he and Giannis walking together.
The Liberty beat the Aces, 87-76. After the game, Antetokounmpo and his family caught up with Stewart, according to a video shared by the WNBA on X.
The two WNBA rivals face off again next week for the Commissioner’s Cup Championship game June 30.
