All eyes are on the Wisconsin Badgers’ week one opponent, Notre Dame, and rightfully so, but there’s a competitive conference trio they’re stuck playing this season.
If the US LBM Preseason Coaches Poll revealed anything, it’s that the Badgers could have a tougher schedule than they originally anticipated.
To no surprise, teams like Western Illinois, Eastern Michigan, and even a few Big Ten teams such as Michigan State, Purdue, and Minnesota, among others, were unranked.
That said, Notre Dame comes in at No. 5, and that’s a huge test for Luke Fickell’s squad to face right out of the gate.
When it comes to Big Ten play, the Badgers could have to play three ranked teams, including back-to-back ranked opponents from October 24-31.
