The Milwaukee Brewers have scheduled a tailgate-themed party in downtown Milwaukee to officially christen an 80-by-100-foot mural of Bob Uecker, completed by artist Mauricio Ramirez on the Wintrust Financial Center, 731 N. Jackson St.
Scheduled for June 30 (with a July 1 rain makeup date), the celebration will feature a celebratory toast with Miller Lite, free brats and a series of speakers celebrating the Brewers’ radio voice, who died at age 90 before the 2025 season.
Ramirez began painting the mural in mid-May; it was completed earlier in June. Mayor Cavalier Johnson will be among those on hand to make remarks.
The first 500 guests of legal drinking age will get a can of Miller Lite, courtesy of Molson Coors, for the celebratory toast. After the program, 500 brats will also be distributed along with ballpark snacks and bottled water. There’ll also be entertainment from the Brewers’ dance crew, street team and mascots, including the Famous Racing Sausages.
Distribution of the beverages begins at 11:30 a.m. CT and requires a valid ID. The celebratory toast will take place at 12:30 p.m., and Ramirez will sign the mural five minutes later. The tailgate will continue until 2:30 p.m.
