De Pere City Council needs to fill a seat in District 4 after incumbent John Quigley resigned.
Quigley is moving out of the city, De Pere announced in a news release July 24. His last City Council meeting was July 15. He had been on the council since 2021.
Anyone interested in serving the rest of Quigley’s three-year term should email a letter and resume to Amy Darnick at adarnick@deperewi.gov by Aug. 8.
Mayor James Boyd and Council President Shana Defnet Ledvina will interview applicants the week of Aug. 11. The City Council will have to approve who they select for the seat.
The term will end in April 2028. Applicants must live in District 4, which is made of parts of west De Pere.
Council meetings are on the first and third Tuesday of the month. Council members in De Pere make about $8,000 a year.
More information about the open seat is at deperewi.gov.
