Choose from six nominees for Cellcom Post-Crescent athlete of the week

Who was the area’s top performer last week? You tell us.

Bax Benson, Kaukauna boys golf

Benson shot an even-par 72 to win the Fox Valley Association individual title at the league’s conference tournament at Chaska Golf Course.

Grace Danoski, Hortonville softball

Danoski had three home runs and eight RBIs in the Polar Bears’ 13-3 victory over Fond du Lac. She had a two-run homer in the first inning, a grand slam in the second and a two-run homer in the fifth.

Celia Gentile, Neenah girls track and field

Gentile won a pair of individual events and placed in the top three in two others to help Neenah capture the Fox Valley Association title. Gentile finished first in the long jump (19 feet, 5.5 inches) and the triple jump (38-4), was second in the 100 (:12.26 seconds) and third in the 200 (:25.18).

Carter Hermus, Xavier baseball

Hermus had four hits and three RBIs in the Hawks’ 19-3 victory over Green Bay East/West. With the win, Xavier finished 12-2 in the Bay Conference for its first league title since 2006.

Grant Millan, Freedom baseball

Millan pitched 4⅓ innings of one-hit ball in leading the Irish to a 15-0 victory over Clintonville. Millan walked one and struck out eight.

Vada Sousek, Kimberly girls soccer

Sousek had a pair of goals for the Papermakers in their 6-0 victory over West De Pere.
