GREEN LAKE – A 12-year-old boy has died after a Green Lake crash June 25, Green Lake Police Department Chief Jason Reysen said June 26.
Officers responded around 9:54 a.m. June 25 to Hill Street after Green Lake County Dispatch notified them of the crash.
John “Emmet” Zodrow, 12, was riding his bicycle with two family friends on the north sidewalk when an 85-year-old Germantown woman was attempting to park in an angled parking space and went over the curb, striking Zudrow and trapping him under her vehicle.
Zodrow was transported to the SSM Health Ripon Community Hospital with severe injuries, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The Green Lake Police Department and Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate, with assistance from the Wisconsin State Patrol Reconstruction Team.
Green Lake Ambulance, Green Lake First Responders and the Green Lake Fire Department assisted at the scene.
