According to police, Pipp was reported missing after she walked away from a vehicle on the ice of Green Bay following an argument with her boyfriend. They said despite his attempts to stop her, she continued walking and pushed him away. After going to get help, he was unable to find her.

Nearly five months later, a passing boater spotted a body floating in the water near Little Strawberry Island, which lies between Peninsula State Park and Chambers Island in the bay of Green Bay, and alerted the Door County Sheriff’s Office.

The initial autopsy shows no signs of foul play. The cause and manner of her death is still under investigation.

The police say the case is nearing its conclusion.
