An Appleton man has pleaded no contest to sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy in October.
Michael Walls, 51, entered the plea on July 27 in Outagamie County Circuit Court to second-degree sexual assault of a child, according to court records. He is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 30 and faces up to 25 years in prison.
Walls sexually assaulted a 14-year-old boy on Oct. 13, according to a criminal complaint.
The boy told police that while he was at Walls’ house, Walls was drunk and the boy helped him up to bed. The boy said that in the bedroom Walls pulled down the boy’s pants and had sexual contact with the boy, the complaint said.
The boy said the assault ended when Walls’ wife came into the room. Walls’ wife told police that when she arrived home from shopping, a neighbor who was drinking with Walls told her Walls had to be put to bed because he was too intoxicated.
When Walls’ wife went upstairs to check on him, she said she found him naked and inappropriately touching the boy, the complaint said. The wife said she screamed at Walls and he denied doing anything before the boy ran out of the bedroom crying.
