Kimberly 6, Sun Prairie East 4
KIMBERLY – The Papermakers led 6-1 after three innings in the nonconference victory over the Cardinals at Sunset Park.
Kimberly scored two runs in the first inning, one in the second and three in the third. They finished with 11 hits.
Ryan Halfmann was 3-for-4 with two RBIs for Kimberly. Lex Knaebe had two hits and an RBI. Will Vander Loop also had two hits and an RBI, while Brady Merzlicker had two hits, including a double.
Pierson Hacker pitched three innings for Kimberly. He allowed one run on four hits. Braeden Hermus pitched three scoreless innings, allowing two hits.
Hortonville 6, Menomonee Falls 1
HORTONVILLE – Isaac Behnke pitched six innings to lead the Polar Bears to the nonconference victory over the Phoenix.
Behnke allowed four hits, an unearned run and struck out three. Tristan Berrens pitched one inning. He allowed two hits and struck out two.
Jaime Varela had two RBIs on a single in the fourth inning for Hortonville, which improves to 11-1 overall.
Drew Browne and Colin Jagodinski each collected two hits for Menomonee Falls.
Neenah 16, Badger 5
LAKE GENEVA – The Rockets trailed 4-0 after three innings, then scored two runs in the fourth, eight in the fifth and six in the sixth to pull away for the nonconference win.
Mack Krause hit two home runs, had three hits and drove in five runs. Gus Weinholzer had three hits and two RBIs, Landen Sheppard had three hits and an RBI, and Henry St. Clair hit a home run and drove in five runs for Neenah. Levi Boivin added two hits – both doubles – and drove in a run.
Connor Amsler pitched four innings to get the win. He allowed three hits, one run, walked three and struck out four.
St. Mary Catholic 12, Ripon 4
FOX CROSSING – The Zephyrs scored 10 runs in the fourth inning to break open the nonconference win against the Tigers.
Andrew Ernsting was 4-for-4 with three RBIs for SMC. Jacob Ernsting added two hits and two RBIs, and Caleb Vogel had two hits and an RBI. Tarver Trinkner added a double and two RBIs for the Zephyrs.
Ben Kuffel pitched 3⅔ scoreless innings to get the win. He did not allow a hit, walked one and struck out three.
St. Mary Catholic 7, Howards Grove 4
FOX CROSSING – The Zephyrs scored three runs in the fourth inning to take a 3-1 lead and went on to the victory over the Tigers.
Jacob Ernsting had three hits and three RBIs for SMC. Tarver Trinkner and Ethan Plutz each had two hits.
SOFTBALL
Kimberly 7, Stevens Point 5
PLOVER – Neveah Honick drove in four runs to power the Papermakers to the victory over the Panthers.
Honick hit a three-run home run to left field in the first inning and drove in a run with a single in the fifth inning.
Sophie Hermus added a solo home run in the first inning for Kimberly, Olivia Paveletzke hit a solo home run in the fourth inning and Payton Schreiber hit a solo homer in the fifth inning.
Bella Ellestad earned the win for Kimberly. She allowed seven hits and five runs (four earned) in four innings. Kendra Ruys pitched three scoreless innings in relief. She allowed five hits.
Kimberly 15, Watertown 5
PLOVER – The Papermakers scored six runs on five hits in the bottom of the third inning to break open the game. Breckan Luedke had the big hit in the inning with a three-run double.
Sophie Hermus added a solo homer in the fourth inning for Kimberly.
Chloe Biese, Payton Schreiber and Hermus each finished with two hits for Kimberly, which added six runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Bella Ellestad was the winning pitcher. She allowed seven hits and five runs in five innings, striking out four.
Hortonville 6, Kettle Moraine 3
MONONA GROVE – The Polar Bears scored three runs in the third inning to take a 4-3 lead, then sealed the victory with two runs in the top of the seventh inning.
Grace Danoski had two hits and drove in two runs for Hortonville. Kierra Wunderlich and Kennedy Van De Hey each had two hits, including a double for both. Braelyn Huettl had a triple and an RBI.
Wunderlich pitched a complete game for the win. She allowed nine hits, three runs (two earned) and struck out three.
Hortonville 4, Monona Grove 1
MONONA GROVE – The Polar Bears scored two runs in the second inning and two in the fourth inning in the victory.
Grace Danoski pitched a complete game for the win. She allowed five hits, one run, walked one and struck out five.
Evalyn Stanelle had two hits, including a two-run home run in the second inning, and drove in three runs. Samantha D’Addario also had two hits, including a double.
Xavier 19, Mayville 2
MAYVILLE – The Hawks scored 11 runs in the first inning in the five-inning victory over the Cardinals.
Jennifer Lueck was 4-for-4 for Xavier with a double and an RBI. Morgan Staszak had two doubles and three RBIs, Elsa Dvoracek had two hits and three RBIs, Abby Ourada had three hits and two RBIs, Kalia Stammer had two hits and two RBIs, and Anna Vanden Heuvel had three hits and two RBIs for Xavier.
Quinn Hervey pitched a complete game for Xavier. She allowed two hits, walked six and struck out five.
Appleton North 10, Wisconsin Rapids 0
WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Lightning scored six runs in the third inning and finished with 13 hits in the victory over the Red Raiders.
Appleton North 8, Wisconsin Rapids 2
WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Lightning had 14 hits and took the lead with a three-run second inning in the victory over the Red Raiders.

FOX CROSSING – Morgan Porsche and Brecken Britzke scored goals for the Zephyrs in the tie against the Clippers.
Sturgeon Bay’s goals were scored by Yarrow Goettelman and Jericha Reynolds.

Fox Valley Lutheran’s Jacoby Dobberstein placed second in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 39.91 seconds, while teammate Grant Wolfrath placed fourth in :41.13.
FVL’s Blessings Kapande placed fourth in the high jump with a leap of 5-10. Kapande also placed third in the long jump with a jump of 22-0, while teammate Tyler Dequaine was fourth with a jump of 21-10.5.
Dobberstein also finished fourth in the triple jump with a leap of 42-7.
FVL’s 800 relay team of Dequaine, Dobberstein, Dane Clausen and Jackson Mayer was fourth in 1:32.52. The 1,600 relay team of Jack Kroncke, Kaleb Williams, Clausen and Dobberstein placed fourth in 3:35.07.
