Xavier 19, Green Bay East/West 3
GREEN BAY – The Hawks scored four runs in the third inning, four in the fifth and seven in the sixth in the victory over the Red Devils.
With the win, the Hawks finish 12-2 in the Bay Conference for their first league title since 2006.
Frankie Cavaiani was the winning pitcher for Xavier.
Matt Potter had three hits and three RBIs for Xavier. Quinn Comerford had four hits and two RBIs, Carter Hermus had four hits and three RBIs, and Evan Wittmann had three hits and two RBIs.
Douglas Yates had a triple and an RBI for the DevilCats.
Beaver Dam 9, Appleton East 1
BEAVER DAM – The Golden Beavers scored nine runs in the sixth inning in the nonconference victory over the Patriots.
Appleton East, which finished with three hits, got a double from Alex Thompson.
Seymour 5, Denmark 3
DENMARK – The Thunder scored three runs in the second inning and two in the sixth inning in the nonconference win over the Vikings.
Caden Steffens had three hits, including a double, and drove in one run for Seymour.
Brayden Banker pitched a complete game for the win. He allowed five hits, three runs (one earned), walked one and struck out five.
Ozzie Enz had two hits for Denmark.
Cade Delarwelle pitched six innings for the Vikings. He allowed nine hits, five runs (all unearned), walked two and struck out two.
Kewaskum 6, Chilton 1
KEWASKUM – A five-run first inning powered Kewaskum to the nonconference win over the Tigers.
Landon Zak pitched six innings for Kewaskum to get the win. He allowed three hits, one run, walked four and struck out six.
Levi Whitfield and Liam Stoffel each had two hits for Kewaskum. Kingston Grisolono drove in two runs.
Chilton was led by Kale Wagner, who had two hits. Lucas Groeschl drove in the only run for the Tigers.
SOFTBALL
Wisconsin Rapids 18, Menasha 9
MENASHA – The Red Raiders banged 19 hits in the nonconference victory over the Bluejays.
Elly Rippier had three hits, including two home runs, and drove in four runs for Rapids. Payton Jaminski added four hits, including three doubles, and drove in two runs.
Menasha, which scored six runs in the third inning, finished with 15 hits.
GIRLS SOCCER
Kimberly 6, West De Pere 0
KIMBERLY – Vada Sousek scored twice for the Papermakers in the nonconference victory over the Phantoms.
Katie Owens, Emily Urban, Ashlyn Krueger and Lauren Warner also scored for Kimberly.
Owens added two assists. Krueger, Sadie Strong and Maya Bies also had assists.
Bee Brockert and Naomi Sotomayor shared time in goal for Kimberly and neither made a save.
Xavier 8, St. Mary’s Springs 0
APPLETON – The Hawks scored three goals in the first half and five in the second half in the nonconference win over the Ledgers.
Hortonville 1, Kaukauna 0
HORTONVILLE – The Polar Bears scored the game’s only goal in the Fox Valley Association win over the Ghosts.
