Spring Recital
The Rapids School of Performing Arts will host its Spring Recital May 15-17 at the Performing Arts Center, 1801 16th St. S. in Wisconsin Rapids. Shows are at 7 p.m. May 15, 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. May 16 and 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. May 17, with shows divided by age group. Tickets are $16 for reserved seating and they are available at the Performing Arts Center’s box office an hour prior to each show. Kiwanis Youth Outdoors Day
The Wisconsin Rapids Kiwanis Club will host Kiwanis Youth Outdoors Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 16 at the Kiwanis Lodge, 3221 80th St. S. in Kellner. Guests can enjoy a day of fishing, trapping and skinning, birding, harnessed tree climbing, big kite flying, shooting events and more outdoor fun. Online registration is preferred. Registration is free and includes a hot dog lunch and a chance to win raffle prizes. On-site registration will also be available. Trivia Fundraiser
First Congregational Church will host a Trivia Fundraiser to pay off school debt in south Wood County schools starting at 4 p.m. May 17 at 311 Second St. S. in Wisconsin Rapids. Trivia will be free to play with teams of up to six people. If smaller groups or individuals want to play, event organizers will help form teams, as well. The fundraiser will also feature a silent auction and a bake sale and donations will be accepted. Guests are asked to bring their own beverages.
