11 Fox Valley businesses opened, closed or relocated in February | The Buzz

February was a busy month for updates from The Buzz, introducing new stores and announcing closures and relocations.

The Buzz put together a list of these updates. We also included a list of businesses that plan to open soon in the Fox Valley.

4 businesses opened in the Fox Valley

Pixel Joy Arcades, 4301 W. Wisconsin Ave. in Grand Chute, opened Feb. 1 just outside of Scheels in the Fox River Mall. The self-serve arcade features claw machines with a variety of prizes, including plushies, keychains and trading cards.

GAP Factory, also in the Fox River Mall, opened on Feb. 4 between Earthbound and Torrid in the Fox River Mall. The store is an outlet retailer carrying men’s, women’s and children’s clothes.

Integrated Sensory, 2065 American Drive, Suite A. in Neenah, had its soft opening on Feb. 6. The business offers sensory-based coaching and infrared sauna services and serves children, adults and athletes.

The Flora Shelves, 425 W. Water St., opened Feb. 7. The bookstore sells fantasy and romance novels but also operates as a floral studio.

3 businesses closed, or are leaving soon

Stone Arch Tied House, 137 W. Main St. in Little Chute, closed on Feb. 10. The pub was known for its craft beer, burgers and pet-friendly patio. Its other location, Stone Arch Brewpub in Appleton, will remain open.

Caribou Coffee closed two locations in the Fox Cities as of Feb. 20: 575 W. Calumet St. in Appleton and 1385 Appleton Road in Menasha. Both coffee drive-throughs opened in 2022.

Eddie Bauer’s Fox River Mall store is set to close in the coming months. The retailer is known for its outdoor apparel, outerwear and gear. No closing date was set as of March 6.

4 businesses have moved or announced relocations

The Black Spade Society, a tattoo parlor, relocated from 1619 W. College Ave. in Appleton to 300 N. Appleton St. on Feb. 1.

The Corner Barbershop, 123 W. Glendale Ave. in Appleton, announced Feb. 6 it is moving to 1101 W. Wisconsin Ave. in Appleton. The barbershop has been in the Appleton area for 12 years.

Eroding Winds Record Shop moved five blocks west in downtown Appleton, from 229 E. College Ave. to 310 W. College Ave., on Feb. 13. The record shop carries new and used vinyl.

The Pad closed its 1001 N. Mutual Way, Grand Chute, store on Feb. 23 to move to its new home, 200 N. Mall Drive – less than a mile away. The store is known for collectibles, video games and more.

What’s to come? Keep an eye out for these 3 businesses

VASA Fitness plans to open a future location at 1700 S. Appleton Road in Menasha, although no opening date has been set. The fitness facility offers a cardio deck, free weights, performance lifting area, strength training machines, functional training turf area, basketball court, a hot tub and cold plunge.

Theisen’s Home, Farm and Auto, 999 Winneconne Ave. in Neenah, will open in the former Krueger’s True Value this spring. The retailer sells products for home, farm, auto, pets and outdoor living.

Ope! Brewing Co., a brewery in West Allis, will expand to 1932 W. College Ave. in Appleton and is expected to open this spring. The brewery will offer signature craft beers, hard seltzers and hard ciders along with a vibrant outdoor space featuring live music, patio seating, volleyball, pickleball and corn hole.
