“They have been working to canvass the river between Ingram and Kerrville at this time,” Horgen said.

Wichita Falls Mayor Tim Short said on a Facebook post Friday night that he had been in touch with the mayor of Kerrville, who said that city had been overwhelmed with donations.

Kerrville police had posted on Facebook that it had all the volunteer support it needed, and no food or water donations were necessary.

The community was accepting monetary donations through the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country.

Short said in coming days, “there will be organized effort to help our Texas neighbors.”

Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Wichita County partnered with the Wichita Falls Founder Lions Club to contribute cleaning supplies to the flood area, according to a BBBS Facebook post.

USA Today reported Monday morning that at least 90 people were dead because of the Texas flooding, and at least 41 were missing.

At least 27 children and counselors from Camp Mystic Christian camp were among the dead, USA Today reported. About 700 children were at the camp when the flooding along the Guadalupe River struck before dawn on Friday.

Central Texas continues to be plagued with rain. The National Weather Service Office in San Antonio issued a flood watch for the area to extend until 7 p.m. Monday with isolated amounts up  to 10 inches.
