London's Jay Lambert voted Apple Dental Center High School Athlete of the Week

London track and field athlete Jay Lambert has been named the Apple Dental Center Athlete of the Week following a dominant performance at the District 29-3A track meet.

Lambert won the 110 and 300-meter hurdles and the long jump and finished second in the high jump.

Lambert received 8,109 votes, accounting for 36.88% of the 21,985 votes cast.

Refugio track and field athlete Kolton Taylor was second with 7,175 votes and Veterans Memorial baseball player Jordan Garza was third with 4,872 votes.

Students can only be named Athlete of the Week once per season, per sport, and athletes from one school cannot win more than three consecutive weeks.

Nominations are due by 5 p.m. Saturday and can be submitted by email at ctsports@caller.com or on X at @CallerSports. Please include statistics or honors for your athlete.

Voting runs through Thursday each week.
