Who is running for New Mexico governor in 2026 election? See list

The general election in the 2026 New Mexico governor’s race is several months away, but primary season is underway.

New Mexico’s primary election will be held on Tuesday, June 2. The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Two Democrats and six Republicans filed declarations of candidacy for New Mexico’s 2026 gubernatorial race ahead of Tuesday’s filing deadline. The Secretary of State’s office has until February 10th to review the submissions and determine which candidates meet the qualifications to be on the ballot.

After years of grappling with career politicians, nothing was more gratifying than seeing firsthand how much responsible medical cannabis use can help folks like Veterans with PTSD or those struggling with cancer.”

Gregg Hull
