The Socorro High School softball team enters the 2026 Texas UIL playoffs with plenty of respect across the state.
In the final regular season statewide poll put together by the Texas Girls Coaches Association, the Bulldogs are ranked No. 2 behind Pharr-San Juan-Alamo.
Socorro is 30-2-1 this season and won the District 1-6A title for the second straight season.
The Bulldogs open the Class 6A, Division 2 playoffs on Friday, April 24, against Frenship in Pecos.
