Jake Paul has become a major force in the sport of boxing from social media star, to his work at promoting major fight cards and his quest to being a major force in the sport as an actual fighter.
The 11-1 Paul returns to the ring, Saturday June 28, at the Honda Center in Anaheim when he takes on former world middleweight champion, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
If Paul defeats Chavez Jr., in the cruiserweight fight, he’ll have several possible matchups to ponder. But he’ll certainly have to take a step up the competition against more serious contenders.
Paul, who fought Mike Tyson last year,, has proven he can put together events that make millions of dollars and the Chavez Jr. bout could be another big event.
But will a win vs. Chavez Jr. get him any closer to being worthy of a world title contender?
