Warming stations available in Wichita Falls during winter storm

Wichita Falls will have several warming stations open for people who need them during the winter storm.

Salvation Army

The Salvation Army at 403 Seventh Street will open its day room during the cold snap.

“During freezing winter weather, The Salvation Army provides vital emergency shelter and additional services to help protect vulnerable individuals and families from life‑threatening temperatures,” the organization said on its website.

Faith Mission

Faith Mission at 1300 Travis St. in Wichita Falls said on its Facebook page it will be open for anyone who needs “a warm place to get out of t he cold or a hot meal.”

Homeless Lives Matter

Homeless Lives Matters will stay open at its location at 912 Burnett St. will stay open during the storm, “to provide warmth, safety, and shelter,” according to the group’s Facebook Page.
