These Cowboys trade packages could see them drafting as early as Rd 2

The Dallas Cowboys are set to take on the final six rounds of the 2026 NFL Draft, fresh off an amazing unfurling of first-round savvy and fortune. Dallas’ front office is over the moon with the additions of safety Caleb Downs and edge rusher Malachi Lawrence. But they have way more work to be done.

Fortunately, there are two more days worth of picking. Friday will see the second and third rounds play out, while Saturday is for Rounds 4 through 7. The Cowboys have five picks remaining spread across the six rounds, and if Thursday was any indication, they’ll likely move around some via trades.

The Cowboys have made it clear they are discussing trading picks for veterans, and that could land a guy like LB Jordyn Brooks or edge Jonathan Bullard, or someone who hasn’t been discussed in the content creator space. Here, we’ll look at what moves could be possible in pick-for-pick swaps.

Current Cowboys Remaining PIcks

Third Round

Fourth Round

Fifth Round

Sixth/Seventh Rounds

No. 92 plus 137 or 152: Pick Range 84 through 86

The Cowboys’ third-round pick, No. 92, is worth 132 points. The 137th pick is worth 37.5 points and the 152nd pick is worth 30.6 points.

Adding either of those to 92 would land the Cowboys around the 84th pick (Green Bay), 85th pick (Pittsburgh) or 86th pick (Los Angeles Chargers).

No. 92 plus 112 or 114 or 137+152: Pick Range 77 through 79

The Cowboys two earlier fourth-round picks are worth 70 and 66 points, respectively. Their final two picks combine for 68 points, right in the middle.

The sum total of 198 to 202 points puts them in a range to deal with Tampa Bay, Indianapolis or Atlanta.

No. 92 plus 112 and 114: Pick No. 65

The Cowboys could combine their early fourth-round picks together and move up considerably in Round 3; all the way to the top. The combined point total from the three picks lands around 268 value points. Though the front office made it clear they aren’t fans of bundling three picks for one player, this would still leave them a fourth and a fifth-round pick to work with.

The Arizona Cardinals have the first pick in the third round.

No. 92 plus 112 and 152 or 114 and 137: Range 70 through 72

Using one of the early fourths plus one of the two latter picks might be a better way to spread the wealth. These combinations would add between 97 and 107.5 points to 132, meaning they’d have around 229 to 239 points.

The Cleveland Browns sit at No. 70 and the Washington Commanders are at No. 71, with Cincinnati right behind them.

They could conceivaby land lower and bring back a late-round pick as well if they shoot for someone in the 73-79 range.

Bundle all the picks for one player: Range of 56 or 57

There’s also the scenario that’s unlikely to happen, but could play out in a vacuum. Say there’s a prospect who the Cowboys had a ridiculously high grade on; one they feel could start for them. Would that be worth bundling all of their remaining picks to go grab?

Adding up all of their remaining picks, 92, 112, 114, 137 and 152, would total 336 points. That moves them into the range of Jacksonville and Chicago in a five-for-one swap.

Of course this combo could land a bit short of that, still in the second round but bringing back other late picks. Taking out either of the later picks (137 or 152) could still land Dallas around 60 (Chicago again) or 61 (Rams).
