The finals are set for both the 440-yard Rainbow Oaks and 440-yard Rainbow Derby at Ruidoso Downs Race Track and Casino on July 12.
Qualifying trials for both races were held on Sunday and the 10 fastest times qualified for each race.
The Rainbow Derby is the second leg of the Quarter Horse Triple Crown for 3-year-old quarter horses. FDD Dreams won the Ruidoso Derby, which is the first leg of the Triple Crown on June 7 and qualified for the Rainbow Derby with the second fastest qualifying time. The final leg of the Triple Crown is the All American Derby on Aug. 31.
The Rainbow Oaks is the first of two major races limited to 3-year-old fillies. The other major race is the All American Oaks on Aug. 31.
